Another Early Animated Short
Discussion
This is more appropriate for Halloween but it's cute.
Disney, in the Silly Symphonies cartoon series , spawned the idea in 1929 with
the Skeleton Dance .

However, in 1937, the same artist, Ub Iwerks, produced a remake in colour.
This was billed as A Columbia Favourite and entitled Skeleton Frolic.
Enter the late Andrew Gold (of 'Lonely Boy' fame and others). In 1996. he released the children's Halloween-oriented novelty album 'Halloween Howls'. This included the track, 'Spooky Scary Skeletons'. At one stage, this track was mated to the earlier Disney offering but it ended up on the colour remake too.
'Skeleton Frolic' as here carried slightly questionable subtitles. Watch out for the bony performers
executing a quick Morecambe and Wise Hornpipe manoeuvre, as was as a cossack dance move.
