Quite keen to see this. Usually as soon as I see something is on Channel 5, I'll avoid, but I'l give this a go.

I hardly recognised Neil Morrissey with a full set of whiskers. It's all a bit predictable.

This is going to annoy me, I can see. Knobby geezer lad needs a kicking in to touch.

I’m glad the fact that guy pointed the gun at him didn’t go unnoticed. I was worried that would pass as normal.

I gave up on it.

Why would the daughter consider marrying such a moron?

Yep. Entirely predictable so far. Great cast, hoping they signed up because of a great script. Opened a discussion in our family over what we'd do in a similar situation. Keep it, slowly sell it over decades. Personally I feel that museums are crypts for things that should be out in the world to be enjoyed. I suspect an audit of the British Museum archives would reveal many, many, many notable losses.

Based on a true story I believe, found in 2015 but convicted 8 yrs later?

Two metal detector enthusiasts who conspired to illegally sell a cache of Anglo Saxon coins which help change our understanding of Alfred the Great have been jailed for more than five years.

Roger Pilling, 75, and Craig Best, 46, were caught in an undercover police sting trying to sell coins, likely buried by a Viking, which should have been declared as treasure and handed to the crown.

This has been rather disappointing but as there is only one episode to go and it's now available on My5, I'll watch it for completeness. Glad it's only 4 episodes smile

I haven't watched episode 3 yet but so far, although it's pretty crap it doesn't quite drift into the utter st zone so I'm still in smile

We thought the acting was terrible and switched the first one off just after they dug the stuff up.

I don't watch many/any of these types of dramas - and I've certainly never expected to watch a good one on C5 (rather arsh as I've never tried one) - however I thought this was brilliant from the start...

...so much so that I downloaded the app last night after episode 3 and the first time ever watched something (episode 4/4) before it was shown on the telly-box.

This probably just reinforces how odd I am rather than how good the series is! - however I thought it was superb.

I've just watched the last episode and it was actually much better than the other three.

Been watching this as it is supposedly set in Somerset. Many mentions of Glastonbury, Langport and Taunton where we live. The accents are interesting. Bit silly but doesn't require much headspace to watch so I will probably see the last one then forget all about it.

I watched the first ep when it came out.....nothing remotely enticing me to watch the next, oh well. Way too many things on the watchlist anyway.
