It’s a bit of a way off (August release) but lots of hype over this. A grown up Josh Hartnett looks like he will do great in this.

Hasn’t that, like so many trailers, just ruined the film?

It's a M.Night Shamalamamamam film.

Of course it's going to end up being some other twist if he's just faked out the obvious twist in the trailer.

Indeed, but doesn't the trailer still spoil things somewhat? I think it would have been better to just show in the trailer that the whole thing is a trap and leave it at that; in itself that's an interesting enough premise. We didn't need to know that Josh Harnett is a psycho; that could have been 'fake-out' reveal number one before the final twist (which I'm guessing is that either there's a second psycho in there - the really crazy one - who takes Josh Harnett's daughter hostage OR the real butcher knew it was a trap from the outset and is using Josh Harnett as a pawn in their game, using the guy being held hostage to blackmail/coerce him into being there and setting him up to be mistaken for the butcher.).

Never watch American trailers. They’re like the Reader’s Digest version of the entire plot. No need to see the full version now.
