Wonder if he will be in it. He quit acting to look after his kids I recall.

He is back as Dark Helmet.

Ps. His children are 33 and 36, I think they can look after themselves now wink

Yeah but they're very vulnerable being only 5cm tall.

First Naked Gun, now Spaceballs. Jeez.

I'd love these to be good but my expectations are very low.

Hollywood doesn't really know how to make comedy any more, and somehow they've chosen now to remake the best of them.

I doubt Mel is concerned about being cancelled, he's 99.

He stepped away from acting due to his wife being dying.

He looks and sounds amazing for 99. I'd assumed he must be about 100, he looked old back in the 80's.

Bit of a weird one. Mel made about 4-5 amazing films in a row and then the rest were rubbish after. Has he regained the skills at 99yo ?
Seems like a film nobody asked for.

The Producers
Get Smart
Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein
High Anxiety
History of the World Pt1
Spaceballs
Robin Hood MiT
Dracula DALI

All brilliant, 3 of which are all time classic contenders for top 10 best films ever.
Or are you one those weirdos film snobs who don’t consider MiT and Dracula as brilliant?

Thanks for refreshing my memory.

The Producers

Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein
High Anxiety

Its probably more to do with that style of comedy went out of fashion once the rest came out.
