It would be interesting to see documentary about the Italian job; it’s certainly not short of material, intrigue and mystery, how much of which is true may be open to question.
It remains one of my favourite films, being a simple soul, cars, birds and inappropriate humour; I’m in my happy place. It’s quintessentially British and all the better for it.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve (subjected others) seen it. No excuses are necessary for another viewing.

Ok - my mistake
Probably just my misconceptions, my internet was down last night & I went looking for alternatives, don’t really watch much TV normally.
I genuinely thought BBC1 & 2 were different to the commercial channels in content (adverts aside) & in all honesty looking at what’s listed as BBC2’s remit & how I interpret it, I still think a repeat of a 60’s film is wide of the mark a bit, regardless of how good it is/was.
