It’s great fun. You don’t really need to understand, follow, or even enjoy American Football to enjoy this. I know the earlier posters will know the history of the character, but for those who don’t it stems from Eli Manning. A retired two time Super Bowl winning quarterback deciding to go to a set of walk on college trials in heavy disguise as Chad Powers. The initial mocking turns quite quickly to incredulity when they see Chad’s ability. It definitely highlights the different level that elite sportspeople have, even when older and retired, compared to younger players who think they can make it.

Feel a bit sorry for the coach who thinks “I can see something in that Powers”, when all is revealed.

Worth 7 mins of time if you’re at a loose end.

No season 2 confirmation yet, nor any cancellation. Don’t think it could run much beyond another short second season anyway, although they have set it up nicely with the other QB being a bit unhappy.

I’d like to see one more season, as it’s had some genuine LOL moments, alongside the more subtle comedy.
