Joseph Mallozzi and Brad Wright returning as well. I am very, very excited for this. Huge fan of all three series and the film, have even been to conventions to meet quite a few of the cast!

Well done Amazon smile

Love Stargate. Watch SG-1 through at least once a year. SG-1 was the best, Atlantis was OK but Universe I couldn't get on with how it was filmed so never finished it.

Excellent news! SG-1 definitely the best (at least seasons 1-8 before RDA took a back seat), but Atlantis was well made too.

I vaguely recall watching season 1 of Universe, not sure I ever saw 2, but think I got put off as I believe it got canned and finished on an unresolved cliffhanger.

Universe was superb, with a completely different vibe to SG1 and Atlantis, loved all three of them. Yes the ending was rushed biggrin and contrived but the best they could have done under the circumstances. I'd really like to see a S3.

Glad I am not the only one who is pleased by this.

Also I would recommend getting to the end of SGU S2 really finds its feat, ending is left open and I would love to see them at least mention what came next.

Judging by some easter eggs already dropped we might have another Atlantis type setup in terms of it taking place in another galaxy. Reason being is Joe Mallozzi's sign off here: https://josephmallozzi.com/2025/11/19/stargate-ret...

He is well known for dropping easter eggs like this into his blog.

Woo Hoo!

Wasn't a fan of Atlantis, but enjoyed SG1 and SGU (and even the film).

I’m going to be optimistic, and not think of how bad returning shows can be.

I'm quite excited too, and I like the idea already mentioned that this isn't just a reboot, but a continuation so we'll see previous cast/stories/locations etc mentioned as part of the new series.

I'm hoping they can actually get some/all of the old cast to give a season long "hand over" to whoever they choose to be the new face of the SGC - with the idea being first 1/3 of the season is mainly old cast with an intro t new cast, middle 1/3 is a 50/50 mix of old/new and last 1/3 is old cast handing over to new cast (something that I hoped I'd seen in the new Ep7-9 Star Wars).

However, it's likely to be just a clean slate for casting, with maybe cameos at best.

Ooooh, always a big Fan snce the original film came out.

Used to have the full set of SG! on DVD but sold them a few years ago for space.

watched all of Atlantis too, but never saw SGU.

This does sound interesting though.

I liked SG1 when it came out, although tbh, like many US programmes, they're very formulaic.

I loved how they introduced Atlantis via Antartica/the other gate.

I loved Atlantis.

I never saw Universe or Origins. Are they worth watching?
