Under Salt Marsh

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33741848/

A detective-turned-teacher investigates a shocking crime in her small town. As a massive storm approaches, she must work with her estranged ex-partner to solve the case before evidence disappears.

Starring Kelly Reilly, a bit grim and moody as these in the valleys/in the sticks/coastal town dramas usually are but it is a decent watch, 4 down 2 to go, 7/10

Yes been enjoying this.

The leads are great, Jonathan Pryce is really compelling too.

It's a lot less flash and overblown than anything I've seen Sky make before, like a BBC drama without the Guardian handwringing, less populist than ITV, but still feels like a UK domestic drama, not something they'd love to sell in the US.

Gave up during episode 3, just all so dour and slow moving.
The relationships (the teacher/ex copper pregnant by the chavy bloke and the copper's gay lust with the water testing bloke) seemed very far fetched to say the least.

Have to agree - found it all so meandering. Something really bad about Rafe Spall - accent sounds weird, character seems quirky but in a non-charming way. Shame as I liked her in Yellowstone and him in Trying but this is just laborious and I'm going to have to give up on it!
