Same here, tempted to give it another go to get me looking forward to lights out on the new F1 season though.

I also gave up around season 4... but watched and to my surprise enjoyed 7. Miles better than previous seasons.

I have always enjoyed it, but with the caveat of knowing that it is edited like mad and that Will Buxton will state the bleeding obvious every now and then for good measure.

That's pretty much why I still watch it, for entertainment, not for education paperbag

The Will Buxton bits and the sound overdubs do really irritate, but on the whole we both enjoy watching.

I like that they take time to go into the inter team battles towards the back of the grid. It is genuinely entertaining as well giving a reasonable season review.

I loved it when they managed to make it look like a fly on the wall documentary seemingly following the ins and outs of the season, but over recent years it has become contrived and to scripted in its feel, but I will watch it, same thing has happened with Full Swing although that was almost unwatchable last year so DTS still above that.

Will Buxton still be involved now he's defected to Indycar? I'm hoping not tbh.

He is still on there, I don't mind him at all.

He ruins everything he touches. I stopped watching Indycar because of him.

If you gave up at season 4 then how do you know it’s miles better? Or are you saying it’s miles better than seasons 2, 3 &4.

I'll buck the trend and say that I still love it.

Seeing the behind the scenes of key moments in the season is always fascinating.

I will say that I wish they would edit in chronological order rather than focusing on a different team per episode. Makes it difficult to track situations as they crop up again from a different perspective a few episodes later.

I think it’s great, and gets us ready for the season.

There is an outside chance I might see myself on one very particular drone shot, as I happened to see them filming

Same here. Plus by the time they've come up with the 'narrative' for the various episodes and got it out I've moved on anyway, it isn't very timely as I'm more interested in this season now.

My daughter likes this very much and I love watching with her and discussing it. I think she likes that I talk about James Hunt and Gilles & Jacques Villeneuve, but she might just be humouring me.

With little of it being free to air now, I actually stopped watching F1 properly/regularly a few years ago; D2S does at least fill that void somewhat, albeit in a very hyped-up way.
