BBC1.

Is it me or have the BEEB 'dumbed' down the picture quality on this?

Its normally pretty good as far as bitrate's concerned but its just looking a bit pixelated?
Terms of her contract maybe?

Just had a quick look, Barbra Streisand isn't really my thing, and there's definitely a slight blur going on, probably to hide the wrinkles.

Didn't see it but probably the common soft focus lens that many TV progs (esp US ones) use to hide the fact that certain people are OLD. She's old and wrinkly and probably in denial about it all biggrin

I watched it on iPlayer, and it was definately soft-focus in the extreme. Funny to see Wossy looking nervous though hehe

Was flisking and saw this and everyone commented on the soft focus/poor quality - looked really crap.

What the hell is Ross doing, kotowing to celebs who demand a show to themselves, early evening and soft focus.

Garbage.

Well known in showbiz circles that La Barbara insists on a special soft focus lens/lens setting as a condition of any interview.

Surely some kind of large bag over her head would be more appropriate?

In the case of Sinitta and Caprice, those two just outright lie about their age. Apprently Sinitta has only just turned 42, meanwhile Caprice is still 32. Which is amazing considering I must have banged one out toseen Caprice in FHM when I was about 13, and I'm almost 28 now!

Playing tricks with cameras and lighting to flatter stars is nothing new.

Decades ago, screen godess Greta Garbo was congratulated for her perennial good looks. She said, "Don't congartulate me, congtaulate my lighting man".

The lady in question.
