Love him or hate him, a part of British cultural history is at an end.

Many thanks, Terry, enjoy the long lie-ins

I notice that publicity seeking slack jawed one eyed stroke victim stuck his oar in.

Good ol Tel, I for one will miss him. I don't mind Evans either, the one I really can't seem to like is Mayo when he takes the drivetime slot. No reason in particular the show just doesn't seem to gel.

You're confusing him with his audience.

I missed it on the radio this morning, I want to download it and put it on my "generic MP3 player" to listen to in the garage with the "generic MP3 player" in its dock.

Any other sources than Iplayer ? that let you download it ?

I've enjoyed the Wogan breakfast show format but I think that Chris Evans has matured into a cracking good presenter and will freshen things up and keep R2 at the top for years to come.

Not sure about Mayo, always think of him as someone who can just about hold the audience when the main line presenters are on holiday. What does he think he can bring to the party? Answers on a postcard please!

Yup, just said something simalier on the other TOG thread.

I don't think Mayo'll last long.

Mayo, on the face of it, can come across as a bit bland. However, he has had a very popular afternoon show on Radio 5 for quite a few years and he has really come on as a very perceptive interviewer. I'm sorry he's leaving R5 as his show was pretty good.
