I don't usually mind him but he doesn't "do" the radio very well. Sounds totally out of breath all of the time.

Some of the tunes he is playing are ok though, and is a vast improvment over Steve Weight.

always liked him on his radio 6 show, he seems fairly well liked here too.

I'll listen in tomorrow, wasn't CC a poet or something in his early days? Can't stand Steve Wright, he was OK 20 years ago on Radio1 but the canned applause, the posse and the cringeworthy 'Smashy & Niceyness' of his show do my head in.

Yes. Remember seeing him once in the early 1980's in a pup (The Grapes) in Matthew Street, Liverpool.

Quite enjoyed listening to him today, bit of a change too. Much easier to listen too than Steve wright too, with his cheesy theme tune and fake applause

Yep. Used to perform it on Wogan's Tv show as well.

Does anybody still like Steve Wright?

As pointed out, he was okay on Radio 1 20 years ago -when I was 12-, but he is just cr*p now. He seems slightly bewildered too.

Yikes, no wonder he's losing the plot. Mind you, you're no spring chicken yourself.
