It does seem to me to be a bit much. A message to others perhaps?
But I do remember at the time he seemed to have an opportunity to get out of it all with a simple and quick apology and acknowledgement that he did the wrong thing. But he didnt do that. He made it worse if I remember.

Well apart from the fact that the trial is still ongoing and guilt and any sentence has yet to be decided, so a bit premature.Don't know what to make of this.

It's easy to avoid grabbing people and snogging them, I've managed for over 50 years and I'm stupid.
I have no sympathy for him in the slightest, another example of lack of personal responsibility and trying to pass off his inability to behave like a decent human being as something silly or pointless.
He assaulted her it can't be that hard to understand can it?

They can be strange about that on the continent. Had a bloke kissing me on the cheeks in Belgium once. Just seems bizarre to me that in that situation he planted a kiss on her lips.
