I suspect, other than those who aren’t bothered or others who have (post-snagging!) new build homes, everyone has a sort of unwritten list of minor jobs that, every so often, they say to themselves “I must get around to doing that”.

A mere 8 years after our kitchen was installed I got round to properly fixing the double electrical socket which is set into the end of the peninsula (but wasn’t brilliantly installed by the electrician - more a wood butcher). The job took around 5 minutes and that’s only because I needed to wait for Mrs OMITN to lend a hand!

What’s on your “I must get around to doing that” list?

Sorting out the threshold between kitchen wood floor and lounge carpet (change the lounge to wood is the answer).

Finish the skirting under Mrs21's dressing table and our bed.

Clear the loft of 20+ years of crap.

Replace old hot water cylinder (see other thread).

Replace 40 year old gas boiler (thread coming up).

Finalise design and start work on ensuite once water is upgraded.

Level front garden or completely remove and put in new terraced driveway to increase parking.

Paint side elevations of house.

Change remaining sockets and switches to smart stuff.

Going through the massive crate of family photos, diaries and paperwork and deciding what to keep for historical purposes and what to tip.

I've had it since 2014 when my Mum died.

We still have a bulb hanging on a pendant that I said I would get a suitable shade for.

In 2002.

There’s no rush. Make sure you get the right one.

You think I should start to look at options then?

Steady on. Maybe you should start to think about starting to look at options.

Re-grout the bathroom floor

Sand and reseal the wooden kitchen working surfaces

Patch up some flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling (this one will handily keep getting worse over time so at least it will add to the pressure to sort it at some point)

That’s the top 3 list at the moment. Been thinking they need doing for about 3 years so not too bad biggrin For the first two I need sprog and other half to disappear for a couple of days.

Thank you for posting this. A couple of my bulbs have only been shadeless since 2006, so I’ve got a few years yet before I need to pick a shade! rofl

Got a few small jobs to finish from my full house renovation 10 years ago. Tiny snagging jobs most wouldn't notice. In my book If it doesn't get done in 12 months it's never getting done.
I'm moving next years so they deff aren't getting finished now.

Sort out top 2 drawers on a chest of drawers. One sticks & the other doesn't fully close.

Patch & paint plaster where 3 new wall lights are slightly smaller than the original set.

Paint 6'x4' shed + side & rear fences.

Stake out rear garden & shoot the 3 pigeons that crap over our cars after they've flown over or round the house. My WH100 with 24x scope easily capable of that job.

Many other little jobs that have needed doing for years. At 78 I'd rather read a book or be with friends.

Lol, exactly the same thing for me, same year, however it's my dad and my sister has it and occasionally she mentions we must go through it all.

Tidying up the garage. I see wonderful garages on PH. Palaces for cars.

Mine is more of a slum.............I imagine my car as a barn find. I will get to it one day.

Getting rid of the sycamores that are growing in various places around the house. I expect I'll get round to it when the roots have caused issues.

My siblings have delegated the whole job to me. I am the family historian. I don't have children but my nieces and nephews have no interest in their heritage.

I need to replace the 5mm ply that covers the roof trusses. It's been like that for months, and I keep meaning to order the £20 worth of ply to do it....
