I've read enough to convince me that I want to install an Ajax alarm. I'm a bit confused though about which one to buy. The Hub 2G uses a 2G SIM: can I use this, or should I get the Hub2 or Hub 4? Do I need the internal panel? I've read that these systems are very easy to install but Ajax's website steers you to an installer. Helpfully, they ask me which region I'm in (the south east), then list installers from hundreds of miles away.

I found this on Amazon, but it appears not even to be an authorised reseller. I also have no idea if this is a good price (GBP1,300) or not.

Any help much appreciated.

I just priced it up where I got my Ajax alarm from. It was just under £1000

I have just messaged you where I got it from. I don’t think they are supposed to sell to members of the public

Probably the same place I got mine from, difficult to buy the system as joe public.

I specced mine with all the individual components that I needed for the house, everything works okay from the app so don’t have an internal control panel.
I got the hub 2 (4g) although I haven’t bothered activating the sim fully yet, if you get the 2g then presumably once 2g is no longer supported then it would rely on wifi only?

Quite happy with it so far, super easy to install.
