Aga R7 anyone got one?
Discussion
Getting a new kitchen and my better half wants an Aga, I grew up with an oil one but it’s not an option as the cooker will be fitted on an internal wall.
Are they any good? The R7 is on all the time so appreciate costs will be nasty but we’re in the hills so the heat will be appreciated in the winter.
First hand experience would be much appreciated.

The R7 in particular, apparently it’s the most similar to a conventional gas/oil. On all the time with low, normal, Christmas settings and adjustable hobs.
I’d hate to make a very expensive mistake, we were going for normal ovens and convection on the island at a tenth of the price..!
Reviews are thin on the ground unfortunately.
Thanks for your input!

Yes, they fit a certain look but they're a very expensive space heater. If someone told you they were keeping the kitchen warm by running the oven you'd think they were certifiable.
ETA we're in a similar situation, up a hill in a draughty old house so I looked it it and concluded it made absolutely no sense. And they don't do anything a conventional oven doesn't do as well or better.

Oh I know, we were all set paid deposit and I’d picked the normal cooker thinking I’d got away with it..
