House backing onto us has someone in building a wooden roof structure on top of UPVC conservatory (and on top of the poly roof). They've ripped out the lead flashing by the looks of it as well.

I did notice he'd gaffer taped a section so it must be leaking.

I won't go into the neighbours and what they are like, but the whole house has been architected by heath Robinson and the direct neighbour on the other side has fallen out with them over the years and selling up so seemed to think as I thought he was a pain in the arse I could do the leg work and log disputes (that aint happening thats for sure).

Out of interest though Is building on top of a conservatory with a wood structure likely to be within regs?

I can't see how it would sustain the weight tbh.

PS I won't post pictures down to privacy invasion

it needs a B regs application

a conservatory is exempt, stick a solid roof on and its no longer exempt,
sort of a grey area building,

I'm sure the conservatory won't mind. hehe Perhaps crop the image so there are no identifying features? It does sound like a complete shanty is being erected by your neighbour so this thread is useless without a picture.

I would be looking to move, is the above neighbour the same one you had issues with before.

Yes glad you've found it.

I don't have an issue with what is happening in the garden other than the crp coming out of his gob, if we go we'll sell about this time of year!

It looks like they put prepared surface on today for tiles, I honestly do not know how you could have a UPVC frame sustaining a weight for a 5M wide conservatory!

Yes glad you found that. I've still not done my garage side!

And yes shanty is one description. He must had spent a good grand or so I reckon on this job though with two cowboys on it and about 8x3m worth of wood, OSB etc.

I'm a believer in something will likely happen in the end with this as he has cut every corner going and spent bugger all on quality workmanship/materials.
