A neighbour recently had solar installed, and I note the inverter has red and green indicator lights (the red occasionally flashes).

I've looked in the manual for both the batteries and the inverter, but can't find any reference to this specific indicator.

Does anyone know what it means?

The inverter is a SunSynk SYNK-5K-SG04LP1

The batteries are SUNSYNK-W5.3

EDIT: Forgot to include link to manual.

Are the lights on the WiFi interface?
Is there any info that, doesn't look to be covered in the inverter manual.
A quick google finds a manual for Wifi datalogger which might or might not be what you have.

You could look at the fault codes on the inverter display.

Is the unit connected to wifi or a phone app?

After posting this I did wonder if it was some sort of WiFi connection (which would explain the flashing red light).

The installation belongs to a neighbour (shared garage in a block of flats) and I've not spoken to them, so don't know what (if any) communication they have with the system.

It was just idle curiosity on my part - as red lights (flashing or static) usually mean bad things to me!

They are for the wifi connection (the actual LEDs are in the wifi dongle).

IIRC the green shows it is connected, the red when there is data transfer.
