I was wondering if anyone could recommend exterior lights that would not only suit a white rendered property, but more importantly, wouldn't expose any imperfections in the render?

Direct light shining up a rendered wall will make even the tiniest imperfections look the moon's surface. Once you have an eye for this, you see it everywhere. Can anyone recommend a light that projects more outwards than upwards?

What are you trying to illuminate? The wall of the house, a patio, or a path / driveway?
Most people don’t ask themselves this basic question, they just buy a light (often the brightest they can find) which illuminates everything badly.

Dim and yellowy light helps to a degree, just last week I changed away from our previous 4k 3.7w bulbs for the reasons you mention, showed up every small imperfection. Even though it looks great during daylight.

Doing it again, I'd have put more focused on the plants and flowered beds along the bottom of the walls, and shining onto the driveway.

It's for the driveway at the front and patio at the back. It's a country lane and visibility turning onto the driveway is non existent in winter
