Bulk buy compost / trough

You'd have to google for your local area, as delivery will be a big chunk of the cost.

Try googling local 'hiab delivery'.

Around us, there are a couple (not many) of companies who do this, turning green waste into compost and topsoil, and will deliver in bulk, using 18t lorries.
It's often easier to find them by looking for bulk topsoil providers. Some will also do a topsoil/compost blend which can be helpful. It's not John Innes no. X, but good enough.

Some council recycling places sell the compost they produce from green waste. It's often easier to find them by looking for bulk topsoil providers. Some will also do a topsoil/compost blend which can be helpful. It's not John Innes no. X, but good enough.
Avoid local hiab / grab places because the majority of them just screen out waste soil off sites usually at 25mm which means its full of stone, glass, brick etc. The soil is free, its the delivery you will be paying for. Unless you can go and see the product. Ideally you want something thats been through a 6mm screen and is also quality controlled. Avoid as dug.
If you can get a good one that does PAS100/BS3882 and actually does the testing then ok. Few do. Good top soil will be £20+ per tonne for the raw material - cost price. Compost usually sold in m3 will be £10 ish maybe more these days. A bulk bag of good quality top soil will be in the £100 region including delivery. Compost will be a smidge cheaper generally.
When I was in the game I always thought AHS did ok quality stuff. So you could try them. ahs-ltd.co.uk
Rolawn / Dandys also ok. Both very far from you though.
AHS might be able to get a stockist to deliver. Your on a location lottery though being quite rural. Also make sure you have very, very good access if getting a lose load. Do not underestimate just how big a 32 tonner tipper is..... which is what a lot of places use. If you go for bagged its almost certainly going to come on a pallet, which is kerb side. Unless you luck out and get someone local with a hiab but again dont underestimate the size of them.
Remember most bulk bags are 90x90x90 which are 0.6m3. Check sizes when you order, some places will sell in 70x70x70 bag....
I personally would not use spent mushroom compost, unless you have a specific requirement.
