We are a family of 4 in SE London and the water is hard/very hard.

So I am looking at a water softener. Lots of choice out there and I don't mind paying more for reliability but it would be nice if was reliable, economical and decent value of course.

From what I understand Harveys seems to be somewhat all of the above (S4 twintec) as the curve just seems to be the same thing with more expensive salt and connectivity to an app, whilst I would probably need the premium plus Kinetico which seems to be more expensive, uses more salt but is perhaps a touch more reliable?

I am sure I read that Monarch/BWT are good as well, and majority of reviews suggest that - whilst others have had problems.

We are in a 5 bedroom house, 1 master family, 3 ensuite (all with showers, but one also has a bath) and then a downstairs toilet/sink.

Also we have a black quooker in the kitchen that is often used for tap water, it would be nice if that was filtered as it creates so much scale but I really dont like the idea of additional sodium, so I am wondering if I can add reverse osmosis to that but with something that puts the minerals back in.

Is my logic above sound? What would you suggest for the above? Thoughts very much welcomed.

EDIT: and what about twin tank? Would I need that, if so, any recommendations?

Happy to help, if youu can fit it all yourself that would be a bonus.

Harvey, Kinetico, Ecowater, Hague all good brands.

Do you have good space to fit anything, wheres the main stopcock in relation to the kitchen.

You can have a direct RO filter fitted to run the Quooker and filter.

Call our office any morning and someone can advise, click my profile for where we are.
