Found this handsome chap guarding my car for me this morning. Any ideeas what it is?

Closest colouration I could see on this chart was a 4 spot orb weaver but the shape looks wrong

Looks a bit crab spider ish to me.

Shape looks about right but googling images of common crab spiders doesn't come up with anything with similar markings.

pretty sure that's a 'garden' spider (as per budgie smugglers post).....there are lots of sub varieties and they call seem to have very cool markings.

Yep, I reckon the consensus is correct. Looks like their quite common but I don't recall seeing one before.

My cat loves eating spiders.
