Can anyone identify this breed of dog please?

West Mids fire service have trained him to sniff around after a fire to help with clues as to what's started it etc.

Have tweeted them but no reply, can anyone tell me what breed he is?

We've tried those kind of boots but no good for a greyhound's shape of feet.
