HELP - there is a bird in my house!
Discussion
I would see if the RSPCA can advise on somewhere to take it. By the time it's been mawled by the cat and, probably out of sight of it's parents (unless you know it's near the nest), I don't suppose the parents will find/look after it.
So I guess either you feed it, kill it (possibly illegal), or take it some place it'll get care.

Just been given my 5th bird of the week. This one is older but has feathers missing from 1 wing so it can't fly.
What do I do with this one?
Put it back where you found it but keep the cat in. There seem to be lots of chicks fledging at the moment, and they're vulnerable. What do I do with this one?
Various studies opine that cats only take the weaklings, but I'm not so sure. If I lived anywhere there are rare / protected birds, I'd keep the cat in.
The cat can use a litter tray for a week or two.
I'm a cat servant myself, btw. Thankfully round where I live the wildlife is street smart, plus Bob cat is lazy.
Thanks, it is annoying as the cat has a bell and i thought the local wildlife would be a bit more savvy as there are a lot of cats around here. All of the birds she has brought in so far are the same species, so there must be a nest round here somewhere.
I am not sure what type of bird it is, but this is the latest one that is currently in my kitchen looking grumpy

Thrush, perhaps?I am not sure what type of bird it is, but this is the latest one that is currently in my kitchen looking grumpy
Bells on cats are ineffective, as they soon work out how to move even more stealthily...
