So this evening since a lot of friends are away I decided to have a relaxing evening and go fishing. Went down to the sea and had a good evening. For much of the evening there were around 8-9 porpoises really close to shore, popping up and changing air too. Good backdrop with the mountains too. First fish was a lovely saithe. Couldn't get much better - not too big for the oven but a good size for eating too. Put him to the side and carried on fishing.

I noticed this mink hanging around though. Full of confidence and so on, you know the like. So one minute my back is turned and I turn round to see him making off with the fish! To make matters worse he came back later and tried to get another 2 that were in the bag.

Still, managed to get a picture of him...

Has to be the cutest thief I've seen!

Nice story, I recall Saithe or coley as its called here in the UK being regarded as cat food , sold at one shilling and sixpence per pound , that equates to 7.5 pence. The flesh has a light pink tint to it and turned white when cooked. Very underrated .

Feed the fish to the mink, then eat the mink. Dinner + free hat.
