As title sais our next door neighbour is retired and lets our cats in. Which at first i didnt mind but we hardly ever see them now. To be fair our neighbour is around 24/7 and looks after the cats, feeds them at ours when we are occasionally away for a few days. And not sure if i should say anything to our neighbour as really dont want to annoy her. Good neighbours are valuable. So how can we get our cats back?

Cats will live where they prefer not where their owners necessary live. All you can really ask her is not to feed your cats in her house.
Other than that I don't think there's much else you can do really.

You have been poor servants and have been replaced by better ones.

Cant be sure the critters are there all the time as much as our neighbour sais theyre not allways there. Despite seeing them go through her patio doors regulary. Our first cat seems more loyal to our house but the second clearly prefers next door. Theyre allowed free roam next door as she has no downstairs doors and even seen our cats on her upstairs windowsill. But in our house theyre not allowed beyond the sitting room. I like our neighbour but not sure if i could say to her on her property please dont let our cats do this this or this?

You have been replaced as their slave, now you are just the retired slave they visit.

They like your neighbour as they let them have full reign over their house, as is their rights as masters

wink

Seriously, cats chose who they live with - you've said you aren't there that often, the neighbour looks after them, you don't give them full run of your house, the neighbour does..,

It's a cats life smile

As Big Al suggested, ask her not to feed them at hers as they've started not coming home, she'll understand that smile

Anything more (eg not letting them in) & they will go elsewhere that you can't control frown

Trust me, it's more likely the cats that are hogging your neighbours. Cats go where they want and do what they want. If they weren't going to the house that they're going to they'd be going somewhere else instead. Mine only bob in to sleep and eat, or if it's raining.

I havnt really got a problem with them being over there when weyre out as the critters get company and my neighbour gets company in return. I suppose the title could be being unfair as i really have no idea for certain where they are. And as someone said id rather they were next door than god knows where with a busy road nearby. Maybe ill try the tuna and chicken trick. Oh and to add she sais she doesnt feed them which i believe but she has admitted to giving them treats.
