My Labrador sometimes as shivering bouts that that go on and off for about half to one hour probably about four or five times in the past year, she is 12.
Is this an age thing or symptoms of something else with her breed.

Our greyhound (also 12) does an "Elvis legs" sort of thing when standing still.

It's like an involuntary shake. It's amplitude is more of a shake than a shiver if you know what I mean.

The vet says it's essentially an age thing related to nerves in her spine.

It doesn't bother her at all.

If your doggie isn't in any distress as a result, I'd say maybe just ask next time you're at the vet.
