Our greyhound (also 12) does an "Elvis legs" sort of thing when standing still.
It's like an involuntary shake. It's amplitude is more of a shake than a shiver if you know what I mean.
The vet says it's essentially an age thing related to nerves in her spine.
It doesn't bother her at all.
If your doggie isn't in any distress as a result, I'd say maybe just ask next time you're at the vet.
