Currently staying in a friends room with my dog. I know theynwouldn't appreciate him on the bed so I'm thinking of tying his lead to the table as he's a free spirit and I'd otherwise wake up to him lying at the end of the bed.

Is this OK?

Actually, people do this all the time in the garden don't they? This bloody dog doesn't know he's born!

I wouldn't have done this. Blanket on bed for him to sleep on. More likely to damage the table trying to pull away from it.

Having known dogs to be strangled after being tied to furniture makes me a bit nervous of saying it's ok!

Does he normally sleep on the bed with you? Do you not have a dog bed/blanket?

I wouldn't tie my dog up and leave it sleeping on the floor, but then I'm a soft bd when it comes to her biggrin

Buy another quilt or large blanket and put it on the bed and let her sleep on that?

How big is the dog, could buy/borrow a cage for him to sleep in?

In the end I put his fav Tony the Tiger blanket down and he was quite happy to stay there. He tried to jump up once or twice but got the message pretty quickly that he wasn't welcome and in a rare show of obedience seems to be respecting that!

Here's how I found him this morning.

All I see is a tiger rug, and a brown wooly rug. Where did the dog go?
