My rescue dog story

To start with for those that don't know, Milly is my now 7 1/2 month old lab. We've had her since she was 11 week. So still a pup really.
Anyway, mrs tt mentioned just after we got her (the next day in fact) that we should maybe have got her sister too. I decided that 2 pups was probably too much at once, so we didn't go that way.
We decided to wait until Milly was 12 month old before getting another dog. After lots of discussion of the do's and don'ts, should we, shouldn't, 2 weeks ago we came across Sonny.
THE STORY GOES
"He's 10 month old and I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. I paid £500 for him" she said. "I have a 4 year old daughter too and I just don't have time for him."
So I visit her home to meet Sonny. (2 hours drive away)
"He is so hyper" she said " I can't do a thing with him. I even had him castrated to calm him down but that didn't work, as you can see"
So I can see, Sonny is bouncing around the kitchen, jumping up at me, my lad and Mrs loving dog owner too.
"Oh I know what it is" she says to Sonny, "you want some chicken from the fridge don't you" So she gives him some from the fridge while he is keen to jump in the fridge for more and dribbling pee everywhere in his excitement.
Hyper is an understatement, wired into the sockets would be more like. Not a single calm moment, not even while she gave him the chicken. He chewed it, swallowed it, coughed it back up and swallowed it again. All this while still plugged in.
I asked her how well he walked on a lead or off lead and the answer totally shocked me
"He has never been on a walk, I've never had time"
In 10 f in months she hasn't had time
I couldn't possibly leave him in that environment, so asked how much to take him now.
"well as I said, I paid £500 so you can have him for £200"
So I paid and got set to leave, Sonny was even more hyped now as the door opened and he saw a way out. We safely got him to the car though.
"I'll give him something that smells of me in case he cries for me" she said, rubbing an old towel all over her cleavage. (that'll be in the bin as soon as possible was my first thought)
Moving on 2 weeks, Sonny is a wonderful happy dog, gets on brilliantly with Milly (best friends I'd say). Still a bit hyper but calming down better every day
Edited to add cos I'm stoopid, Sonny is a cocker, undocked and dew claws intact. Pity about his missing bits though

Thanks for the nice comments.
Whilst I was travelling home from rescuing Sonny, Mrs loving owner phoned mrs tt to say she had forgotten to hand over some food for Sonny. He has been fed on Wagg
so it would be best if you give him that too she said. So mrs tt (she meant well) went out and bought some for my return at about 11pm.
What is that crap, was my first response. Bin it!!!!!
Milly is on raw so it was my every intention to put Sonny on that as soon as possible. So the next morning he was fed the same as Milly, chicken mince/bone/offal mix and he loved it, no side affects (runny bum ect). He then progressed onto chicken wings to crunch on and then meaty lamb bones. The only thing he doesn't like (yet) is fish.
Within a week, his coat was shiney and he had stopped begging at the fridge and at our food plates.
