Hi All after a lot of thinking about it i came to the decision that it was time to fill the feline void in the house. Always had cats but not for the last 4 years since the passing of my last one a fantastic tonkinese chap who was my pride and joy and my best friend. Well today at the leeds cat protection center at guildersome i fell in love with a little pair of black and white cats, an 11 week old brother and sister born to a feral mother and still need bringing out of their shells but will be worth it. well ive adopted them and they come home on thursday ..... cant wait to become the servant for a pair of adorable feline lunatics and feels good to be giving pair of moglets a chance of a loving home smile by the way due to their age they have been chipped, vaccinated , de flead wormed etc. what is the best age to have a little male and female neutred ? will be sorting insurance, kittie tree etc this week before arrival . does anyone know if the pets at home range are any good ? cheers all.

Well done you !
Most vets won't spay until 6 months, some will a little earlier, if I were you having male and female I would try and find a vet as early as possible.
Pets at home are expensive for most things, go to zooplus we use it for food and litter etc but also got a great tree from there too.

Well done you! clap

If born to a feral mother, their social skills won't be the greatest, and you'll need to manage this carefully when they get home.

Kittens are naturally fearless and inquisitive, and you need to make the most of this phase in their development in order to have relaxed and confident adult cats.

Lots and lots of play and handling, trips in the car, lots of new people, etc.

Thanks all smile cant wait to get them home, they are very cute and have been pretty much litter trained already. These little black and white furbags will be very much loved. We know they will be a challenge at first but it will all be worth it to see them blossom as confident little cats. Will certainly be getting them done at the first opportunity too. Looks as if picking them up thursday has been delayed too so we are getting them on saturday instead. Will certainly be posting pics. Will be nice to be able to join in with the caturday thread smile

When they are a bit older/bigger this is excellent for cats.

I've got quite a few and they all love this
