Jessie is 1 this month but I noticed a little bare patch right on the top of her lower lip a few days ago and now there is a scab and it looks a little sore.

Also she is normally very aloof and tends to do her own thing but today she is following me around like a dog, watching whatever I'm doing and getting in for strokes and cuddles. Very unlike her.

I've uploaded a picture just in case anyone can say don't worry about it, it happens to them all.

If not I'll have to splash out £30 on a vet visit before they fleece me on tablets, creams and lotions.

I'd get that seen by a vet.

They're not 'fleecing you'. It's about the best possible care for your pet.

Wounds on cats can go manky very quickly.

Weirdly it started as that bare patch just by her lip, the sore came a couple of days later.

The fleecing remark is referring to the time Benny threw up, once. The ex panicked and took him straight to the vet where she was relieved of around £100 and given a huge bag of easy on the tummy biscuits.

She was told to return the next day for X-Rays at more cost.

Most people I know with cats were aghast. "Sometimes Cats throw up" they said. OK if it had been constant all day, but it was just the once.

That's why I posted the pic, incase....well I've already said it biggrin

As you say, wounds can get nasty so I'll take her tomorrow. Going to drive up the hill now and let the kids watch the fireworks display from outside the park and save me the vet money biggrin

Pepi Kbps being very clingy this week too, it's the fireworks

As MC said - get her to the Vet

Vets are very cautious when cats are puking, they can dehydrate very quickly as I found out with Pepi earlier this year!

And now Benny, her brother, has discovered that he can get up the chimney from the old fireplaces. Silly thing is now covered in soot.

Daughter has been trying to clean him with a wet flannel but he is not enjoying it.
