Help please!!!!

Our sausage dog is not well
Mrs said he had been abit off all day.
Keeps messing himself, and he never does this plus seems not to settle or get comfortable!!!
Rear end seems swollen around his anus, more 1 side than the other, and it seems abit weepy in that area, not sure if blood or diarrhoea !
I know this sounds daft, but can dogs get piles???
Vet wants £150 quid if we go there now!!!

Ssounds like a burst anal gland abscess.

He will be feeling pretty rubbish with it if it is. He could wait til tom but I do think he should get seen tonight if you can.

Ta, yeah we went last night and your right. 1 jab and 2 weeks of tablets and vet says he should be fine, phew

Good to know it should clear up ok. They can be quite nasty and painful to the animal (though once burst some of the pain is relieved.) I still think it was better to get seen last night, it wasn't life threatening but he'd have had a miserable night.

Just need to check he doesn't lick it (and see he doesn't rub along the ground!!)

Yeah couldn't leave it, we could see he was down! Finally got in at 130am, then back up at 430 for work 😴

Ha, ha no your right, and he has been sleeping all day whilst I did another 14 hour shift.
he is worth it though
