Got what he deserved!
Discussion
This happened to a friend of my brother last week.
Mike and his wife went away on holiday for a week. They have a dog that is quite old and they did not want it to go into kennels, so through friends they found a dog sitter to live in for the week.
Sadly the dog died one night. The young lady dog-sitting phoned Mike to break the sad news and also to ask what to do. Mike was understandably upset, but the dog was old and semi bed-ridden, so rather than cut the holiday short and fly home, he asked the young lady, Karen I think, if she could take the dead dog to the vets to be disposed of.
Karen agreed.
They live in London and Karen did not have a car. The dog was not very big, so she decided to put the body of the dead dog into a zip up sports bag and take it on the underground to get to the vets.
She headed down to the tube station and went down the escalators carrying the dead dog in the bag.
She reached the bottom of the escalators and started walking to the platform when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. As she turned round to see who was there, a little nervous due to her unusual cargo, the bag was snatched from her hand by someone wearing a hoodie who ran off never to be seen again.
Although shaken by the experience, Karen decided not to bother reporting the theft to the police.

If it were a small dog and a well loved pet, why would they not bury it in the garden.?
Chinny rec I say.
Having had 6 dogs during my life, and large gardens, I can say that we never wanted to bury them in the garden. Always let the vets deal with them.Chinny rec I say.
That said, the story does ask a lot to be believed.

Or did someone just read an old newspaper? http://metro.co.uk/2008/07/17/thief-robs-woman-of-...Charlie Foxtrot said:
if you do get another dog it'll dig up the old one.
Really, so at my dad's place dog number one, now buried, should've been dug up by dog number two, now buried, and both dug up by dog number three, not currently buried.Dog one buried 1989, by the way. Perhaps number three's letting them mature like a fine wine. Or you're talking crap!
