Well !!!
I seem to have become a mug for Yorkies !!

My local rescue kennels have another little girl for rehoming... Stray with no chip rolleyes

Why are people allowed to do it ??

Anywhooo !!, I jokingly mentioned the mutt to Mrs Goat the other evening and was told in no uncertain manner that there was no chance!
Fortunately, Mrs Goat is as soft/daft/stupid/loving ( delete as appropriate ), as I am !
So..... today, we spoke to the kennels and will be meeting her on Wednesday afternoon !
They have given her a 'kennel name' but I have already chosen her home name wink .
Obviously, everything depends on how all the dogs get on, so we will take her for a 'holiday' period first.

Wish us and her luck... ( I can't wait... )..!

Cheers J+J...smile

She will be our third rescue dog in 2 years !
Hopefully Carla will accept her ( I know that Monty wont give a toss ! )
I must be mad !... At least we have a large garden which backs onto a forest and river walks.
And there are three of us to walk them, all of us around at some point of the day.

A great couple of meetings !!

Yesterday afternoon, Mrs Goat and I wandered up to the kennels to meet the prospective new addition.
She was very friendly, but not overly so, and calm.... although she has a bit of a twinkle in her eye wink

So today we decided to take Monty and Carla to meet her.
We took them for a mile walk and they were fantastic together.
Monty...as predicted... couldn't give a toss !! Carla wasn't jealous or protective over us or Monty ( which is great).

So.....We have agreed to pick up our new little girl, who is about 18 months to 2 years old, next Friday.
We would have her sooner but we are away this weekend and not fair on the dogs and our son,m who will be at home.

We will be popping up to the kennels during next week to walk and feed her as well as socialising her with the current mutts and 'the boy'.

Photos to follow during the next few days smile

She is finally here !!!

Over the past couple of weeks, we ( Me, Mrs goat, Monty and Carla ) have taken the prospective new addition out for several walks. This was, I think sensibly, to assess whether they all got on well and if she and us were also for each other !

Within 10 minutes we knew the answer ! She doesn't seem to have a bad bone in her !!
Friendly with our existing mutts, other people and everyone else we met !
She doesn't pull on the lead and seemed to understand commands.

Not bad for a 1 year old smile

As predicted, Monty does not give a 'monkeys'. Carla is her usual self and slightly over protective over us but she will be fine in a couple of days.

Some photos... The new girl is the dark haired one.

Her name ???? Please have a guess wink

Yes.. It was a nice dog. They also get a lot of staffies through the their doors.
We met one today who was a lovely old boy...On the route home, I directed someone to the kennels. They were off to view him ...thumbup
