If she is friendly, then probably used to being handled.

Stick up some posters locally before you get too attached, you could be doing someone a big favour?

And well done for getting her checked over.

Read the tin or packet for amount. We have been adapted as well and the vets reckoned a week was all that is required before it's legal as long as a fair effort to locate the owners.

We tried animal search uk.com
http://www.animalsearchuk.co.uk
Finder of cat put posters up local to where he lived and we tried to get the chip read, no chip.

Thumbs up for taking her in and getting her checked by the vet.

She does look a little cutie smile

Posters IMO will only be any good if she's local, I would of thought if she is missed, the original owners would have put some up missing posters ??

Check to see if you have a missing animal web site covering your local area, maybe post some thing on there.

In the mean time, just carry on doing a great job thumbup

I love that cats just decide to adopt people but it does make me worry that my two will eventually bugger off to find a better owner.

Well done and congratulations on you new boss. thumbup

Lovely looking cat!

As others have said you are doing a great thing by taking her in. The owner could have died, and the cat may have been scared off, the family could have moved, who knows. Or it could be another change like a baby, new tarmac - we had a cat disappear for 3 weeks when the road outside our house was resurfaced and and we had a loft extension done at the same time!

Please contact local vets to register the description of the cat - as a cat owner (who was 'adopted' by my ginger chap Charlie for a decade and a bit before he died, he'd been abused and so was scared of strangers but was a real softie to me) I would always try and find the owner in case there is a potential happy ending.
