Just a quick one - anybody got any good (or avoid!) recommendations for online animal drugs? We have two items which our dog takes on a permanent basis (Lypex & Previcox) and buying online looks to be about 40% cheaper. We have a prescription from the vet so we're good to go (except that I just found out that we'll need another one next month as the vet didn't write "repeat" on it rolleyes )

Vet-medic.com are much the cheapest, and there is a human at the end of the phone (I called them) so I'll go with them unless there are cries of "Noooo!"

We sometimes use Viovet or VetMedsDirect

Ask the vet for a six month prescription (suspect they charge £10 per prescription per animal....).

I use pet drugs on line, don't know how they compare price wise, but over the last 6 years they have been very good and easy to deal with.

Same here.

I've been using them for the last few years and have had no issues.

Their pricing seems quite competitive and delivery is prompt.

A good online pharmacy will have a VMD logo attached usually on the opening page (they may have others) this stands for Veterinary Medicines Directorate and means the site conforms to their high standards and will reassure you that they are British site purchasing from this country only (and not from abroad- this would be illegal for you to purchase) if you google them it'll explain rules and regs of buying online.

It will be vets decision re length of px depending on individual cases and treatments. They may not agree to 6 months but will probably do 3 months if happy with how your pet is. Often depends on how often they need to assess your pet aswell.
