Best value/working flea and wormer

I'm looking for the best flea/wormer combo for our 4 year old cavalier. We currently use frontline/drontal, outrageously cheap from costco. Maybe £45 for the year.

This had however now run out and does not cover lungworm.

Having long ears she has had ear mites twice. We now clean monthly with a solution from the vets. They did however give us advocate on both occasion. It's also expensive, and prescription only. I think they quoted £48 for 6 pipettes. But this does not cover tapeworm!

What do guts use? She's getting a lot more adventurous outdoors swimming, rolling in fox poop and eating all sorts of rubbish! The slugs and frogs have made an unwelcome return to the garden too!

Can get a prescription from your vet for advocate and buy online from British website. We advise worm twice a yr with milbemax to cover tapeworm if using Advocate.

Or if your dog is older, does not eat slugs/snails or play with sticks then lungworm is not as high risk (though numbers of cases are growing) so continue with current protocol.

We have started on Billy No Mates. Not quite flea season around here yet but so far it seems to be working.
