Hi guys,
This has nothing to do with TVR, but thought my TVR chums would know. If any mods can put it in the right forum I'd appreciate it, sorry and thanks.
Anyway, took the top down in the TT at the weekend only for it to burst a spiders nest which promptly covered me and the inside of the motor in tiny little spiders!
Cleaned them out of the car and my ears as best I could. Next day the interior of the car was covered in little webs and strands of webbing. (None in my ears tho).
I've cleaned it again, but there are more today, no sign of the little spiders tho.
so how do I get rid of a spider infestation from a car?
Cheers guys

Old women! Lots of 'em!

There was an old woman who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed a fly,
Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old woman who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
Perhaps she'll die.

Alternatively - Ultrasonics

All spiders have their taste buds on the tips of their legs.

There are certain natural oils they hate, including citrus, lavender, peppermint, citronella, cinnamon, tea tree and cloves.

This natural spider deterrent does wonders to combat a spider invasion, and with repeated use will help repel spiders continually.

Make your own spider repellant spray :-

Add up to 5 drops of essential oil (lemon is my favorite and spiders detest it) and up to 5 drops of dish washing liquid to approx 1 litre of water.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake well.

Spray the mixture on cobwebs, around doors and windows, and on any surfaces where spiders lurk.

Oils may stain or cause spots, so be sure to test the mixture on a small unobtrusive section before spraying an entire surface.

laugh..Well Marcus just remember the spiderman theme..So if any thieves try to steal the Wedge they will be caught like flies...
I would leave them be...Hopefully they will grow to fist size and if any mouse find their way in then they will get munched by a spider...Or two...Or three....

Thanks mods for moving this, I should have thought about the creatures forum.
I'll try UKDJ's lemon method, it's a leather interior so I'll try it first on the sofa!
Mark, it was in the TT not the Wedge, I hope no mice get in either, thats all I'll need, mice, spiders, dodgy fuel pumps, speeding fines, having to cycle to work. I cant take anymore.....oh vienna!

"Odourless" moth balls held in a net made of a small bit of tights drawing-pinned to the wall near the PIR sensors stopped the alarm at my previous firm going off during spider season.

You could put them in the car or just in the garage near the car, replace annually just before spider season.
