Purely hypothetical situation of course...

Say around Christmas one night the lodger uncharacteristically knelt on the floor, bent down to kiss the dog (Daschund) and the dog nipped her on the jaw. Say there were three small puncture marks around the cheek/jaw area. She went to A&E and they swabbed it out, there are still marks visible now but very slowly fading.

If the lodger starts getting thoughts of compo at some future date how's that likely to pan out?

Thanks in advance!

This. Lodger issue. They had probably provoked the dog before and it was just getting its own back. Sue them first before they get a claim in.

Ok then negligence is less likely.

Sadly he has since passed from a tumour, I don't think he fought it from the lodger but you can never be sure.

Doesn't this sort of thing fall into the catagory of "st Happens" or isn't that allowed in the age of ambulance chasers?

Pretty soon with the change in the law it can fall into the "Dog gets puts to sleep" category.
