Found this outside my flat on top of a car

Very tame. Have emailed neighbours (I can't get into the building I found it outside)

Can anyone id it ? What do I feed it and can I put in a shoe box overnight ? as is very clingy , won't leave me alone !
Very difficult typing one handed smile

Will take to rescue center tomorrow.

Thanks

It's a Senegal Parrot. It will eat normal parrot food from petshop and fruit.

Thanks, nibbling nuts / brown bread at the moment but doesn't seem that hungry; just following me around the flat.

Has a red ring on it's leg with "5DOM 12 N", does this mean anything ?

I'm not an expert, but don't know if bread is good for birds?

Good point about the bread, removed that, doesn't seem that hungry anyway , just wants attention.

I think that's a conure, at a guess a green cheeked one.

Google 'feeding conures' and you will see what fruits are good ( and which are not). Don't think a shoe box will do it any harm but if you have a room where you can leave it overnight where there is nothing it can do too much damage to if it chews I'd do that. With the ring number you may be able to trace via the Parrot Society, although that will give you the breeder rather than the owner which may be different.

Well good news SSPCA called and they've been contacted by owner and owner will pickup bird in the morning.
Amazing little thing, so much character. Got a few bad photo's I won't share with you; liked a bit of wine though, perched straight on the wine glass when I poured it smile

Keep it away from Nurofen. Parrots eat 'em all.

Had a long tail, as long as it's own body
