The old lady who lives next door to us recently went to live in a home, leaving her house empty, our daft cat has managed to get trapped inside the house. Must have happened while one of her family were round. Has been there since sometime last night as he didn't turn up for breakfast. He seems fine, can see him through the letterbox. The problem is we don't know where the old lady is now and have no contact details for any family members. Her family live locally but as the old lady isn't there I'm not sure when anyone will be round.

What to do?

I'd call the police non-emergency number for advice - they may be able to contact the old lady.

I think possibly the RSPCA might be able to either help or advise on that.

Ditto, it will dehydrate quickly this weather (point that out to them & ask if you can access via a back door that you then replace?

Cat's now back, the neighbour's son came round earlier and let him out.

Thanks for the replies.

Good news.
