What a nightmare week!
Discussion
Our 8 year old Cavalier King Charles has been diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome. That would explain the over drinking, panting and now hairloss. He looks like a RSPCA case.
Then about 4:15 Saturday morning I hear this bang, bang, bang. So I get up and find Milly all contorted and twisting about in the hall desperately trying to sit up and falling over. So after an early morning visit to the emergency vet she is found to have idiopathic vestibular syndrome.
Its now Tuesday and she can just about walk. Very, very wobbly but at least she can go in and out.
And to top it all Sunday morning I find the rabbit has died after 8 years.
I could not come on such a bad week as the wife is in Hospital with Cholecystitis (inflamed gallbladder) for the second time. I wish they would just take it out but after she is sent home waiting for its removal it inflames again.

Hope your wife gets sorted soon. I was admitted on to the Emergency Surgery ward in January as had gallbladder problems. Turns out I'd also got Acute Pancreatitis, Jaundice and an infection in the gallbladder. I was in 7 days and had the gallbladder out on day 6 once I had stabilized, out the following morning.
Sorry to hear you dog is also unwell, and the poor bunny passing away. They say it happens in 3's

Thanks. The rabbit dying was really taking the biscuit to be honest. Well I am picking the wife up today and have got to wait 6 weeks for it to sort itself out then back for scan then hopefully have the sodding thing out.
This is the second time she has been admitted for the gallbladder and she is getting sick of it (literally!).

Yes, I couldn't keep a sip of water down in the end and was doubled over. My GP took one look at me, made a quick phone call and it was off to hospital within the hour for me. You know things are proper bad when your pee comes out black. This is the second time she has been admitted for the gallbladder and she is getting sick of it (literally!).
I can understand the 6 week wait, surgeons don't like to touch a 'hot' gall bladder as they tend to explode. Mine exploded when they touched it and I ended up with 23 stomach washes.
