my pussy wont stop regurgitating

Hi all, 


Wonder if anyone can help.

For the first week my new adult cat was fine, settled in well, but for the past 2 weeks he has been vomiting at random points usually once a day/every other day, he has once been 3 days without being sick.

Have taken him.to the vets as he got cystitis and mentioned the sickness and she didnt seem overly concerned and all his bloods came back fine for the cystitis.

Can anyone please offer some advice, we have kept him on the kibble he was eating at the shelter which he was fine with and he drinks plenty of water.

We havent actually tried starving him for 12 hours to clear his stomach would that help?

He seems absolutely fine in himself, keeps well groomed, very cuddly and playful etc.

Some cats do, one of our three does most days. She's always done it and she seems ok with it, she's just a nervous cat.

So, you adopted a cat, who was depressed, wouldn't stop meowing and is now regurgitating.

Have you thought about getting a dog?

You could reduce the size of the portions.
Our male cat went through a phase of bolting as much kibble as he could cram in - including that in his sister's dish - & shortly after throwing it all up again. Portion reduction stopped the problem - they were fed more frequently.
If you aren't around to do this you could consider one of the electronic cat feeders.

Is there any reason why this behaviour has started?

for the smart arse who said did i adopt with these problems no i didnt ive just been unlucky you idiot.

Anyway took to vets and she said all seems ok so it could be gastritis from the treats/chicken/tuna he has been getting that hasent settled down, or it could be hair irritating his stomach lining, he got an injection and anti sickness and she said to just feed his normal food no extras and see how he goes

Would it be wise to get one that helps hairballs? or not change so soon?

Please tell the whole story and also follow your vet's advice.

When I reread, yes it does seem like I was saying you adopted the cat like that.

I should've expanded a bit more but got fed up (look, fluff.....ooooo fluff)

You have 4 separate threads about the same cat within a month. If you want advice that will help you, keep all the details in the same place and if you insist in starting new threads, at least give those new to it the full details!
