Called vet and they just said to keep an eye in her...

This is the type...

Any ideas whether this is a bad one?

Hmm, no idea of the mushroom type, however depending on time it was eaten I think our vets would've offered to induce vomiting. We tend to air on side of caution.

I'm surprised the vet said that, but I wouldn't worry unduly if I were you. That looks to me like a harmless Parasol Mushroom.

Thank you! So far so good but I'm a bit annoyed at the vet. It was my fiancé who was dealing with it as I was away and the vet apparently seemed nonchalant...

When my dog ate two tabs worth of thyroid tablets, (45) in total, they vets took the medicine name, took £50 , phoned a "toxic" expert, who calculated the dog should be ok. To be fair it was a good service they offered.

Anyway they said dogs often eat stuff/medicine that would be very dangerous in humans, but dogs are very poor at absorbing things such as medication, hence they need/can handle much larger doses that humans

Above is from memory, shoot me down if wrong!

Tbh it very much depends on the medication. Eg paracetamol, whilst it can be used in dogs the dose is very specific, they cannot tolerate an overdose, same for ibuprofen, dark chocolate grapes raisins etc.
