Putting your pet up for adoption and then changing mind!

I can't blame the people for changing their mind really, I know it must be a horrible thing to do to have to give up your pet due to changes in circumstances.
I just wish they would think through the moral dilemma and angst before putting the advert up!
Two people have done it now, and one rescue place has just forgotten about me.
I've patiently scanned the new ads, waiting for the right breed, age, and background to come up, get in touch, make sure the people and other animal behaviour is good, arrange to visit, meet the cat and bring it home then if it decides I'm a suitable slave, and then a text / call comes that they want a few more weeks to think about it.
If something has changed which is making your cat unhappy, a couple of weeks isn't going to make any difference, the poor cat will still have an unhappy life!
