Looking for a falconry experience for my wife, preferably in the South East, but will travel if required. Not just a falconry show to a group of people, but more a one to one thing, where my wife would don the big leather glove and actually fly the bird herself, with expert guidance obviously.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Sadie and her team based near Maidenhead. Fantastic experience. Really passionate and knowledgeable about their birds. We did a half day when they were based at a previous site and have been back since they moved here.

Just a falcon? What about eagles etc?

I rescued a buzzard on Monday, that we’d found flopped on a bridal path while walking the dogs.

Magnificent creature, here in the dog crate on his way to the vets. I left him at the vets expecting the worst but he rallied (they couldn’t find anything obviously wrong with him) and he’s now at a hawk rehabilitation centre smile

I’m visiting him on Monday so I’ll post another pic.
