The Dog’s Trust used to offer third party insurance for your dog if you took him into the workplace but they’ve suspended it. I’ve searched and searched but can’t find an alternative, does anyone know of anyone else that offers this?

User name checks out! smile

Are you talking about cover if your dog attacks staff or customers?

Kennel Club might be worth a look.

Or a member of staff tripping over the dozing mutt and faceplanting on the contract carpet tiles? Perhaps a small cordoned off area with suitable signage would suffice, like a small roadworks? nuts

They sue you for leaving your dog in a dangerous place, you sue them for the vets bill and you agree quits...

My wife's business trains staff to take their dogs to work with them (primarily education settings) so have experience of what I'm about to say below...

Pet Business Insurance and Westminster Insurance are two companies that do PL for dog owners.

Best to check with them that it works in your specific circumstances.

Also, it's worth checking with the PL that your workplace has as it's quite often covered anyway.

Some regular pet insurance companies may also cover. Again, you'll need to speak to them to discuss. PetPlan being the one most likely. KC used to, not sure if they still do.

I'll caveat everything above as this is based on there being full training, dog assessment, risk management and policies being place.

Thanks all. I've tried the usual suspects, KC, PetPlan et al but none offer cover for taking your 'companion' dog to work. They will offer cover if it's a therapy or working dog (for example) but not for your regular pet. Dogs Trust do offer that sort of cover as I've used them before but they're not taking on new applications at the moment, annual review apparently.
