Is it me or do partners have an odd sense of humour?

My wife just rang me saying she would be back late. Consersation went like this --

Me: " Hello " ( that's my standard Kings Pawn Gambit defence when it comes answering the telephone )

Her outdoors : " I'm going to be back late because XXXX sister has had to go to the hospital and so I am having to cover her on her stall at the craft fayre"

Me: " OK, no problem, as long as you do not bring home anything made of wicker"

Her outdoors: "Oh, ok"

Me : " Especially Alan Whicker "

Her outdoors : " What? The receptions bad, I have to go now."

If I was married to a 50 year bloke called Stan he would have got and we would both have a giggle ...

Does your other half share a completely different set of comedic principles that guides them through the cosmos?

Phones, esp mobiles in public places, should be used to pass messages ie I'm going to be late home.

Jokes and humour should be face to face.

A) you didn’t say anything funny. You’re lucky your other half is kind enough to not call you our on that hideous attempt.

B) why extrapolate your assumption onto everyone else’s other half. FYI mine laughs regularly at my jokes and I suspect yours would too.

She’s clearly having an affair, they’re like monkeys, currently holding two branches and it about to let go of one of them.
See you on the ‘being told I don’t love you anymore’ thread soon...... laugh

I'm flattered, but no thanks. Your humour puts me off.

Me and the missus share the same sense of humour. We have to, she hasn’t got one.

Mine thought i was joking today when she said she was going shopping with the daughter and asked what id be doing.

So 5 hours later when she rang and asked where i was, word for word was in the pub with the dog where i said id be.

For some reason this has caused some issue to the fact that she collected the dog and left me there.

Wasnt sure how to feel about it at the time, but got a text about 45 mins later saying tea will be out at 7pm.

This could be my last post as im royally confused by her actions.

Stabbed/poisoned take your pick?

My wife has no sense of humour. She asked me to go to the corner shop. She said "get a pint of milk, and if they have eggs, get half a dozen."

When I got home she said "why have you bought 6 pints of milk?" and I replied "because they had eggs".
