Just intrigued. We are a small family, and don't really know what to do with ourselves sometimes- interested to ask a percent of the population what they do!!

My weekends are usually taken up with riding lots of miles on a bike.

Depends, mainly gym, food shop, dog walk, a few odd jobs followed by a bottle of wine or two.

Watching my 11yo daughter play fortnite, thinking I can do that, then handing the controller back because I suddenly realised I’m 41 and unless it’s a driving game I’m pants.

Family stuff = Dog walking, doing a jigsaw, cooking/baking, films, card games...usual stuff that is cheap. smile

I have two small boys, 8 and 7.

Sat mornings are football matches and sunday mornings are rugby training or matches, this afternoon we watched Harlequins vs L Irish (rugby) but it could of been QPRvs someone else. If there is time maybe the odd cycle ride or tennis, but during the summer its often a 'treat' to the local beer gardendrink

Cup of coffee.
Read all the stuff I bookmarked during the week.
Cooking breakfast.
Arsing about in the garage.

I don't even work Monday to Friday, and yet weekends are different.

I'm the preferred parent of a Young family, so surviving mainly. We also have a large doer upper house with a large garden so any free moments are spent doing DIY or the garden.

Hopefully in the next year or two I can start sailing and cycling again.

And I have loads ideas for projects if I ever get chance.

Saturdays are mostly kids clubs. The wife and I will usually try and fit in the gym/bike ride/run in around/amongst those.
Evenings we tend to cook (teach em young) and do a games or movie night.
Unless of course we have sitters, in which case it’s dinner, cocktails and swinging from the chandeliers...

Sunday’s usually are more chilled, either family time together (park, walk, bike ride, NT trip somewhere, visit friends).
Or “jobs”, so one holds fort while the other works or sorts one of the many jobs from the household backlog.
Maybe Sunday dinner if we’re around the house.

Walk the dogs. Watch films, play Xbox and drive the car. Occasionally go shopping with the wife.

Preferably like to be sitting down as much as possible.

It does vary, but the regular stuff is;

Saturday, Get up late, walk in to town if weather is okay, drive if not, go for coffee and either breakfast or brunch/lunch depending on how late It is, wander round for a bit and waste money on stuff we don't need, visit my mum, go for another coffee somewhere, get ingredients for dinner or decide on somewhere to eat in the evening/get takeaway from, clean the house, eat..

Sunday, visit my mrs parents, go for a walk if the weather is okay and usually stop in a pub, try not to think about work as I usually work Sunday nights. Look at cars to buy online hoping buying one will cheer myself up from working too much. Then I go to work.

It always goes far too quickly.

yes Similar here, boys are 12&9, girl is 9. This time of year is trickier but in among doing a couple of clubs we often go to the climbing wall, go for a walk (sometimes a cycle if it's really dry) play some board games, do some baking. Summer is a lot more active walking, cycling, kayaking (kids less keen), body boarding, BBQs etc.

We're lucky to live somewhere with great outdoors opportunities, but the flip side is a lack of indoor stuff if the weather's st.

If I am not ferrying my 11 yr old daughter to swimming comps, horse riding or triathlons then I mess about about with cars in the garage and my workshop.
