Cool story. I’d be chuffed to bits if I was her.

I keep meaning to ask a friend to throw a bottle with an AirTag in off a cruise ship

I fear the cold water would make short work of killing the battery before it got its first ever ping

I appreciate the suggestion of this might upset some people on here

Is it just me, or does the article miss the irony of the finder being there to collect litter?

That's cool.

Saw a post on Facebook where someone had put some of their mum's ashes into a bottle, so she could 'travel the world'.

Quite like that idea when I shuffle off this mortal coil, even though I've no belief in afterlife, or any real sort of sentimentality about my dead body (I'd like as much as useful harvested for donations, then bury me under an elm tree).

ha ha yeah. And the bottle was tossed into the ocean as the girl was doing a project on "water". Different times!

Can't believe how good condition the bottle is in after floating around the northsea for 30 years.

How times have changed though, you'd be stoned to death for doing that these days.
